Chace Barber - Founder & CEO
Chace is a truck driver with 14 years of experience.
Chace and Eric hauled started their own trucking company in their 4th year of university by restoring a 1969 Kenworth.
The trucking company transitioned to hauling and installing electrical generation systems to designing and engineering hybrid diesel electric power systems.
Never letting go of his passion for trucking, restoring classic trucks and driving Chace was the one who came up with the idea of Edison Motors by combining their hybrid power systems with the classic trucks they restored.

Eric Little - Founder & CTO
(Chief Technology Officer)
Eric is a power systems engineering genius.
After university, Eric helped manage the trucking operations with the plan to use the revenue from trucking to grow the company and pursue their goal of becoming power system designers & engineers.
Eric’s passion since a kid has always been energy generation, solar and battery technology.
He has become a respected industry leading expert on solar, batteries and hybrid power generation and was able to help apply those idea’s into the chassis of a semi truck.

Ray Matkin - Director / CPO
(Chief Production Officer)
Ray was the 1st person to join the Edison Motors team at the very inception of the company and has grown with the company to fill many roles within the start-up.
His background is in the trades and project management / leadership in construction.
Ray is in charge of overseeing the Edison Installer team rollout in addition to managing truck project deliverables

Theron Groff - CMO / DTF
(Chief Marketing Officer / Director of Truck Filming)
Theron has been a truck driver for the last 20 years, of which the majority were spent hauling logs in the British Columbian Mountains.
While filming on Discovery Channel’s “Mud Mountain” he realized his second passion and calling which was media and video production. Theron recognized Edison Motors is an industry disrupter, building trucks that are far superior than anything else he’s driven. He’s applied his experience as a trucker to media and film production for Edison Motors.

Matt Elliott - Director
Matt Elliott is a logger from from 100 Mile House BC. He’s been driving truck for 14 years before coming to Edison.
Long days behind the wheel turns the gears in his head of how we can do trucking better and more efficiently. Specifically he’s been a huge fan of the advantages of electric drive in the industry.

Dean Barber - Millwright / Machinist /Welder / Fabrication
Dean is Red Seal Millwright, Welder & Machinist with over 45 years experience in the forestry industry.
Dean is in charge of mechanical design and fabrication of truck components and parts that need to be built specifically for us when not available off the shelf

Daniel Batac - Design Lead
Daniel is in charge of the design and renderings of the truck.
Daniel has a passion for semi truck design and is in charge of designing and developing the Edison Trucks and working on the 3D models.
Daniel went to post-secondary for video game design but always had a passion for truck design, designing his own trucks for video games such as American Truck Simulator and Farm Simulator. He has expanded that approach to now handling the real world designs and component placement for Edison Motors.

Jacob Lafond - Mechanical, Body and Thermal Managment Design
Mechanical Engineering Team Member
Jacob graduated from the University of Alberta with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Growing up in northern Alberta, he's wrenched on everything from farm trucks & tractors to custom diesel conversions.
He's worked in oil & gas downhole cementing, crude oil refining, and in petrochemical production. With experience in pressure piping design and process management, he is constantly developing improvements to the mechanical & thermal management systems of Edison's products.

Yaël Oosthuizen - Electrical Systems and Harness Design
Yaël is in his final year of Electrical Engineering at the University of Victoria and joined Edison as a co-op Student for the summer.
He gained most of his electric vehicle experience as the Chief Engineer of UVic’s Formula Electric SAE team. He worked in construction for years before starting university and has since specialized in electric vehicles and vehicle systems.

Peter Hull - Cab Design
Peter recently finished his 3rd year of Mechanical Engineering at McMaster University. Originally from Toronto, Ontario he joined the Edison team on a 16-Month internship.
His prior experience was as a Marine Mechanic as well as Chassis Lead for McMaster's Baja SAE racing team has prepared him for his work at Edison.
He is currently working on the cab for the upcoming L-Series trucks, while also assisting the ongoing testing of Topsy.

Jordan Willey - Director
Jordan is a young entrepreneur who started his first company at 15 years old. He now owns an earth works construction company in Manitoba which operates a different array of equipment and trucks.

Matt Antifay - Director
Matt is Owner of Mattco Excavating; based out of Vancouver BC. He started in the construction industry as a truck driver at 19 years old, he is both a heavy duty mechanic and equipment operator. He is experienced in business management with his own company and hopes to bring that talent to Edison Motors. He has an understanding of the equipment we build and what the customer needs.

Keaton Dixon - High Voltage Systems
Keaton is a Graduate from the University of Alberta's Electrical Engineering program. throughout his education he obtained both Academic and practical knowledge in the fields of power electronics, electric machines, and semiconductor physics. He joined the team in 2023 as member of the electrical design team. He spends much of his time designing key features for the power train while also assisting in managing several of the other ongoing electrical projects.
